The capital offers a huge variety of spectacular parties and entertaining activities to accompany you into 2012.

Let’s start off with fireworks. At midnight every year, some of the most spectacular fireworks of the world illuminate the banks of the river Thames. A special view of some of the world's most famous fireworks, being launched into the sky is from the London Eye but they can usually also be seen from rooftops and high balconies all across London.

The viewing areas will be on both the North and South banks of the river between Waterloo and Lambeth bridges, with a partially restricted view along the Embankment as far as Blackfriars Bridge. It will be also possible  to watch the display live on giant screens in Trafalgar Square.

The last admission to the viewing area is by 11:30pm, alcohol is permitted but only in plastic bottles.

Parties are the most common way to spend the longest night of the year.

For Anglo-Italians St. Peters club is hosting its usual dinner dance party, a very good occasion to greet the new year with family and friends.

A jump is the past can be quite a popular theme, for example the Medieval banquet Party at Tower Bridge or, for those who enjoy an hedonistic glamorous atmosphere, at the club “Ce Soir… “ guests feast on canapés, ice cold Champagne.

Another super party option could be a dinner followed by a sightseeing cruise on the Thames.
