Gennaro Contaldo visits Villa Scalabrini Xmas Fayre
The first ever Xmas Fayre held in the converted barn at Villa Scalabrini Shenley was a great success raising more than £3,500 for the Charity.Approximately 200 people visited the numerous stalls buying various goods including Vintage and Designer Clothing, specialised food products, crafts, jewellery and children's gifts. The smell of fresh Italian coffee and hot Italian sausages helped keep the hunger and thirst away.
One of the highlights of the day was the visit of Gennaro Contaldi who mingled with the people and happily signed books. It is hoped that Gennaro and Gino D'Acampo will be able to attend next years event which hopes to build on the initial success.
On behalf of the organisers,I would like to thank all the stallholders, supporters, helpers and visitors for making the day such a success.
Raising sums of this magnitude for a great cause can only be accomplished through the kind donations of goods from the many businesses and individuals who support VS. These donations combined with the time and incredible effort and energy freely contributed by the organising committee will help dementia sufferers benefit from the funds raised. A big thank you to all contributors and to my hardworking colleagues who helped plan and run the day.
